VICTORIA – Candidate nominations closed at 1 p.m. (Pacific time) today, followed by final processing of nomination forms and party endorsements.
There are 346 candidates representing 15 political parties, independents and individuals not affiliated with a registered party. The election will be held on May 12, 2009, with advance voting May 6 – 9.
